Mitchell's Fish Market closes east Louisville restaurant location

A long-standing Louisville seafood restaurant has closed.

Mitchell's Fish Market, an upscale-casual seafood restaurant that's been around for more than 20 years, will no longer operate at the Paddock Shops in east Louisville.

Shah Ghani, chief operating officer of Landry's dining brands, confirmed Mitchell's closed on Saturday in a statement to the Courier Journal. He said the restaurant's lease at 4031 Summit Plaza Drive "came to an end."

"We are grateful to our guests and the community for the incredible support and memories over the years," the statement continued. "While our time at the Paddock Shops ended, we look forward to welcoming you to our nearby locations including Brick House Tavern and Tap, Joe’s Crab Shack, and Morton’s The Steakhouse.”

Google also shows the location is "permanently closed" and it's no longer listed on Mitchell Fish Market's website or the site for the Paddock Shops. The chain has six other locations, including two in Wisconsin, and others in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
