Happy Election Day 2024! The presidential election remains an extremely close battle between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris for President of the United States.

Kentucky voters seem to be pushing for another Trump presidency, while several swing states could still determine a different outcome.

Distinguished American University, Washington, D.C. history professor Allan Lichtman has correctly predicted 9 out of the last 10 U.S. presidential elections. Lichtman earned his doctorate from Harvard, specializing in modern American history and quantitative methods.

This year, Lichtman has predicted Vice President Kamala Harris will win the 2024 U.S. presidential election. "I've been doing this for 42 years and every four years I have butterflies in my stomach," he told USA Today. "This year, I think I have a flock of crows in my stomach."

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, for the U.S. general election.

For a list of polling locations to cast your vote in Kentucky, visit elect.ky.gov.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time throughout the state, according to elect.ky.gov. If you are in line by 6 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.

Valid proof of identification is required to vote in-person. For a list of acceptable ways to prove identification, visit elect.ky.gov.
