Tuesday is Election Day, and those around Louisville and the state will soon head to the polls to cast their votes.
So far, nearly 800,000 Kentuckians have submitted their ballots through differing means like absentee or early voting, with many more to follow Tuesday.

In Kentucky, polling locations are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day. Jefferson County residents can learn more about polling locations below.
Polling locations are assigned by address in Jefferson County.
The State Board of Elections maintains an online list of polling locations across the commonwealth. Voters who know their precinct can use the list to find the name and address of their polling place.

Some other voting perks include specials at Dave & Busters as well as discount rides from Uber and Lyft and delivery deals from Grubhub and Uber Eats, among others.
More than 650,000 residents across the commonwealth participated in early voting, with around 790,000 votes being cast across all voting types.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear cast his vote alongside his wife, Britainy Beshear, and dog, Winnie, on Thursday in Frankfort. Beshear said that he and his wife "were excited to vote early" and encourage Kentuckians to get to the polls.
"This is our civic duty so regardless of who you're going to vote for, we want to encourage every single Kentuckian to get out there and vote," Beshear said.

Despite a recent appearance from Walz in the commonwealth while on his campaign trail, former President Donald Trump won Kentucky in previous elections. Trump's vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, also appeared in Kentucky earlier this year.
According to The Courier Journal, Kentucky was the first state called for Trump on Election Day four years ago, winning the state by more than 25 points in both 2016 and 2020.
Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz appeared in Louisville on Oct. 23 to speak at a campaign reception on behalf of the Harris Victory fund as part of his campaign stop.
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance appeared in Lexington in August for a Trump 47 Committee-sponsored fundraising event. Kelly Craft, event ambassador, told The Courier Journal ahead of the event and during the Kentucky State Fair Ham Breakfast that Vance is her friend and she was excited to host him.
Some Kentuckians cast their votes ahead of Election Day with early voting opportunities, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
Secretary of State Michael Adams said on X, formerly Twitter, on Oct. 23 that 130,695 Kentucky voters requested absentee ballots before the deadline. The surge of mail-in ballots could be an indicator for massive turnout in the 2024 General Election, he said, as absentee ballots tend to make up roughly 2-4% of total votes cast.
"For the love of God, vote early," Adams wrote.
