Benjamin Dalton, son of commonwealth's attorney David Dalton, arrested

The son of David Dalton, commonwealth's attorney for Lincoln, Pulaski and Rockcastle counties, has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a police officer and attempting to bribe another to avoid being taken to jail.

Benjamin Dalton, 20, of Somerset, faces several charges, including felony charges of possession of forged documentation and bribery of a public official as well as misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and terroristic threatening. He is being held at the Community Corrections facility in Lexington, according to online jail records.

According to an arrest citation, officers from the Lexington Police Department found Dalton visibly under the influence of alcohol in the 2300 block of Woodhill Drive at around 10:26 p.m. During their investigation, he allegedly provided officers with a fake Arkansas driver's license they believe he used to purchase alcohol at a nearby bar. Further investigation revealed two additional fake IDs in his possession.
